Weekend with the Sedgewicks

This past weekend Robbie and Jess came to visit, so Will was reacquainted with his friend Mrs. Sedgewick and met a new friend, Dr. Sedgewick. We had a good time, but Will was a bit cranky during the second half of the visit. Not to worry, though--the Sedgewicks came up with an elaborate scheme to keep him happy. Robbie bounced him on the exercise ball while Jess swayed and shook Will's plastic rings, and they both sang songs (see picture above). If any element was missing, Will would cry again. It was draining for them, I'm sure, but the rest of us appreciated their efforts. And then Robbie and Jess cooked us a delicious dinner with sparse ingredients found in our kitchen.
