A week later
The weekend was even better than I hoped it would be, and that's about all I can say. Read Jess' update for a complete listing of events. Days later, I still can't believe I'm back at work.

Oh, it rocked all right. It'll be tough to beat, but I think if we try very hard we may find its equal in DC. I think it'll involve the Brickskeller pretty heavily.

Hi Heat! Come back! Tell us what you have been watching on tv lately. Any E! True Hollywood Stories? Oh, and I will see Dr. Juliet Correa and her sidekick Little T. at the end of July. I am quite looking forward to it.

I read in Jess's blog that you are looking for DC area apartments. Sounds like that can be a daunting project if one has a reasonable person sum of money in mind to spend on rent. I just wanted to wish you guys luck. And suggest that first you look for an apartment in Manhattan, as this will then make the DC apartments look more reasonably priced.
I miss your blog!

You are describing exactly the blessing of having lived in Santa Barbara for the past six years. Stuff in DC doesn't seem cheap, necessarily, but definitely affordable.
