I love the video. LOVE it. It was sort of the next best thing to getting to see them in person. Which I hope to do soon. Like maybe for Megan's baby shower in September. Are you guys going to stay with Robbie and Jess or somewhere in town? I haven't bought a plane ticket yet, but I want to look into that this week. Need to get my parents to baby sit the farm first . . .
We're planning to stay in a hotel for Megan's shower. There are too many of us now to stay with Robbie and Jess! I haven't started looking yet, but we want to find a place with a suite. That seems to work out best for us. I'm glad you're going to be there for the shower. I'll let you know where we end up staying, in case you're in the market for a hotel too.
There is a Courtyard by Marriott at the Waterfront (~10 minutes from Megan's place and the shower location) that has suites. It looks like on the weekend they're about $240 a night, which seems fairly expensive, although I haven't seen what the rates are other places. And although I couldn't call the area culturally interesting, there are certainly plenty of restaurants, et cetera close by.
Also, Liz, you are totally welcome to stay with us if you want. Our house is too small for two adults + two kids + the three of us, but we can still very comfortably accommodate one person, and we would love to have you! And we only live about five minutes' drive from Megan's apartment.
