Christmas is Coming, 2008

Well, it's that time of the year again--time for Will to wear the tree skirt. Here he is, seemingly resigned to his fate. Actually, I think he's just making a funny face in this picture. He didn't mind wearing it at all, and seemed sort of annoyed when I made him take it off to eat dinner.

Here is Ryan playing happily in the Pack and Play. He likes it in there, in small doses, which is lucky for us because he isn't completely safe playing on the floor free range with Will around.

Here Will is playing with one of his "William" ornaments. We decided that now that he is two it is time for him to learn the truth about his full name--that it isn't actually Willito. He took the news pretty well.

And here he is putting the star on the top of the tree. It's been our family tradition since 2006.

Finally, here's the Ry Guy at Longwood Gardens.

Back to the old grind

We got home from my parents' house yesterday afternoon, and it is pretty nice to be home. Will tends to get rather worked up (you know--demanding and cranky) the first couple of days home from a trip, but I get the feeling that he's having a good time being back in his own space with his own toys and back to our normal routine. He had a lot of fun and got a ton of attention on vacation, so I was expecting the worst, but it hasn't been bad at all. And Ryan has been napping well today and studying his toys as if he's never seen them before and having a great time doing so. In fact, he was crying in the above picture because I took him out of the Pack and Play for a Will-orchestrated Santa Hat photo shoot. Here Will is explaining to Ryan that he's supposed to be saying "Cheese!"

And here they're both looking relatively happy.
